Howdy howdy, Kasi! You are correct. It drops their happiness level a couple of points, but the idea is to get rid of low numbers on their skills so their child will have BETTER numbers. So, even though I'd not recruiting anyone under 14 skill points, I want to get rid of any 1s on their skills for later. And if I can get that up to a 3 or higher (EASY for Diplomacy and Farming, HARD for Hunting and Survival) even better. Children will basically have an average of their parent's skills. You will see that I analyze as I look to pair up a couple every year or so to try to get the best return on the child. 😁

Howdy howdy kasi! That's the Daily Demand, regardless of how long your seasons are. 5 is the number of heat units a piece of Firewood provides (Sticks = 1, Planks = 5, Logs = 10). But since each log = 4 Firewood, the potential for a log is 20 heat units (BTU). So, I've refined the process. I need to re-do the graphic because I think it removes a step and simplifies the process if you just round the (Daily Demand) up to the next multiple of 20, then divide by 20. This gives you the number of logs you need to convert into Firewood each day to meet (or just slightly exceed) daily demand.

Thanks for watching. I never got good with the modern PS or Xbox controllers. Just too many functions going at the same time. I preferred the good old days of the NES. 😆 I'm planning on starting a new series on SD soon. I wanted to give them a couple of weeks to flesh out the new update first. I'm going to have to re-orient myself to the game and am not sure on the symbol. Sorry. 🤔🤷

Piastovia Cave was the first place I encountered a random wolf spawn. Freaked me out... But more often I've found them at the ruins SW of Piastovia (site #2 on the Looting map). Also found a random bear spawn east of the town in the swamp across the ridgeline. And I've heard the bear in the beach cave. But I was busy working a bandit camp spawn on the beach.

@@ATrainGames oh man the bears spawn on the beach got me today, nearly killed my horse. He got away with a smidge of health. 😂😂😂 Scared the bee geez it of me at first. 😂😂

@@kckreationsHowdy, howdy, mate! I think you're talking about the cave on the north side of the village that is actually a tunnel. (There's a tunnel on the north, another on the south through the waterfall), and a cave to the east that can be mined but has a bear on the path near the mouth. That makes 3 locations where you can "find" a Simple Large Backpack on the map. Your cave/dead guy, the random camp to the southwest of Ostoya near the waterfall,.and under the house in the swamp. Good, info. Thanks!

@ATrainGames yeah the Northside one well it bank's to the left when you go in a little, and down a bit is the dead guy with the backpack and lodestone.

@@dschoene57 they Jack prices on clothing and equipment. The prices on seeds and food and potions and the Wagoner are lower. Though they keep tweaking those. Early game if you are capable of hunting, then simple bags and roasted meat are a good way to make monoy

@@dschoene57 good options after that are making pottage, soup, flatbread, bags, linen shirts, and copper tools or better.

@@ATrainGames I usually try to grind stone knives. They don't give much money, but it gets your survival and production skills up fast. Once I get to smithy II, a monthly visit to the safe cave at Branica is all you need as Bronze knives only use one bronze bar and yield massive money.

@@dschoene57 that can come in time and if you just collect broadleaf plantain, dandelion, and other things. That will get your survival skill up and the key is to unlock all three points on athlete in the skill tree. If you grow flax in Spring of year one, you'll get lots of points for crafting that into Lenin thread and then linen fabric or other items. If you grow cabbage you'll get lots of points from crafting wood bowls and from making pottage. If you start growing oats and rye and make that into flatbread and animal feed so then you can get pigs to fertilize your fields, that will raise your production points very quickly as well. The production tech tree is the easiest one to get to level 10

@@ATrainGames I always end up maxing out survival first. Btw, temperature resistance should be maxed out early, as a really hot summer can catch you out early in the game.

Hey. Thanks for watching. Yes, the buildings having lights is a neat deal. There are some cool new features and even just today I learned you can upgrade your beds, firepits, and trunks in homes. Feathers from trees has been around since 1.0. And now you need them for beds. Though villagers do not get any happiness out of those upgrades. 😉
